Bid for the 2018 European Athletics Championships
In cooperation with the German Athletics Association, bytepark implemented an interactive presentation as part of the bid for the 2018 European Athletics Championships.

The idea was to take the official candidature file one step further and to accompany the bid for the 2018 European Athletics Championships with an interactive e-book. This book was to present the city of Berlin as a potential host for a major sporting event.
The result is a digital catalogue of various options for interaction, self-created animations as well as integrated film clips and sounds.
bytepark's design team initially drew up the overall layout for the application in the form of a graphic draft featuring all the page and content types. Then, all the contents from various sources and very different formats were edited and harmonised before being compiled on the basis of the layout template to form an interactive e-book.
Specially developed introduction pages were the golden thread that set the right reading mood for the user. One special highlight is an interactive seating plan for Berlin's Olympic Stadium. Designed as an interactive HTML widget, this allows the reader to try out any seat in the spectator area and even to look around the outer area of the stadium.
