About HypZert

HypZert is the leading accredited certification body for real estate appraisers working in the financial sector. bytepark was responsible for the relaunch of the corporate website and, in addition to consulting and design, was primarily responsible for technical implementation.

The objective

The HypZert website ran on the Typo3 content management system, was only updated and minor changes were made to it over the years. The new website was supposed to offer significant improvements in terms of both mobile usability and performance. The goal for the new website using Drupal 8 was to create a modern website that meets today’s technical standards. In addition to a new look, it was essential for the website to still have a password-protected expert area that is linked to the HypZert management system HZM.

Typo3 makes way for Drupal

The HypZert corporate website is based on Drupal, an open-source content management system. The CMS is implemented on the basis of the Symfony framework, which ensures continuous development and a stable code base. In addition, numerous functions on the website – especially the appraiser login – use an encrypted API connection to the internal HypZert management system HZM.
