About SCC EVENTS GmbH

SCC EVENTS GmbH is one of the largest organizers of major international endurance sports events, including the widely popular BMW BERLIN-MARATHON and the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. bytepark supported the client with the relaunch of the SwimRun event website.

The task was to migrate the website from the Redaxo content management system (CMS) to Typo3, the modern CMS used throughout the company. The existing components in Typo3 had to be used on both the frontend and backend. As part of the relaunch, the UX and SEO areas were also to be revised.

For the relaunch of the SwimRun website, the old CMS Redaxo was replaced and content migrated to the new Typo3 platform. Care was taken here to ensure that existing content modules and features that had already been used for the client’s other event websites were reused and adapted where necessary. The result is a solution that is easy both for editors to use and for IT to maintain.

SEO

In order to optimize the website from an SEO perspective, a keyword analysis was first completed, enabling the editorial team to write all copy using keyword optimization. After a final review by bytepark’s SEO experts, the entire website underwent another technical SEO check before the launch. Since then, SEO performance has been continuously monitored and optimized.
