About Metrofunk
We are happy to have completed the relaunch of the online store for our long-standing customer Metrofunk. Metrofunk produces and stocks more than 2,500 different cables, strands and wires and sells them worldwide. Clear quotation statements, fixed prices based on purchase quantities and prompt delivery at competitive conditions are all part of Metrofunk's customer service.
The aim of this project was to consistently drive forward the digital development of the Metrofunk online store. The store was to be technologically migrated from Magento to Shopware in order to improve its performance and user-friendliness. In addition, the product range was to be expanded and its pricing optimized. The end customer's shopping experience was also to be improved with the help of a new design.
The Goal
UX/UI Design
We developed a modern and functional design that reflects Metrofunk's brand identity and improves the customer's shopping experience. First, the user flows were analyzed and optimized taking into account known patterns of long-standing customers. The UI design was then adapted. The existing logo was retained as a brand and an appealing color concept was developed iteratively with the customer. The new visual language was finally implemented in the new key visuals to create a positive visual customer approach.
Technologically, the store was further developed by migrating it from Magento 1.9 to Shopware 6. To optimize pricing, we developed and embedded special plug-ins, including functions for price adjustments based on commodity costs. This enabled us to improve the store's performance and user-friendliness. After the system migration, the data migration took place. This involved the successful transfer of a three-digit number of main products, including the integration of complex product features and variants.
